The Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa Delegation Visits South China International Arbitration Center (HK)

On April 10, 2024, Judge David Unterhalter of the South Africa Supreme Court of Appeal, arbitrator of the South China (Hong Kong) International Arbitration Court (SCIAHK) and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), along with Mr. Neo Mahlako, consultant lawyer from the University of the Witwatersrand, visited SCIAHK. SCIA Council members, SCIAHK Board members Anthony Neoh, Huen Wong, Liu Xiaochun and Leung Oi Shi met with the delegation for discussions on the dispute resolution cooperation between China and South Africa. 

David Unterhalter, former chairman of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization, has an in-depth understanding of the "Hong Kong + Shenzhen" cross-jurisdictional arbitration rules arrangement, which he believes is beneficial for resolving international economic and trade disputes of different legal systems.
